During the heyday of the 19th century, the organic cell was conceived merely as a rudimentary and dull "balloon of protoplasm." Today, the cutting edge of biochemistry reveals that each cell is, strictly speaking, an automated metropolis of such overwhelming cybernetic sophistication that it makes our best nanotechnological engineering look ridiculous. The bacterial flagellum is not a "metaphor" for a motor; It is a literal and incontrovertible outboard motor, assembled atom by atom, featuring a stator, rotor, O-ring, bearing, universal joint and clutch. The axiom of "Irreducible Complexity" formulated by Behe ​​acts as a logical and geometric guillotine for gradualist evolutionism and materialist atomism. The reasoning is implacable: if the operation of an engine invariably requires the simultaneous assembly of 40 essential parts, having only 39 of them does not give you a "less efficient" or "in the process of improvement" engine, but pure useless and energetically costly garbage for the bacteria. Consequently, the hegemonic dogma of trial and error guided by Darwinian chance fails miserably, since "natural selection" cannot select what does not work. Hegemonic academia, hijacked by its panic of creationism and its immanentist dogma, has desperately attempted to marginalize Behe, not through biochemical refutations valid in the laboratory, but through political coercion and editorial censorship. This academic persecution exposes a sociological fact of terrifying proportions: contemporary secular science has ceased to be an objective search for empirical truth and has become the private inquisition of materialist naturalism. Behe's conclusions point inexorably and rigidly towards the unavoidable need for Intelligent Design. To deny this overwhelming nanotechnological evidence is to cling to a pathological fundamentalism that repudiates the most basic principle of rational causality: every ordered effect requires a proportionate ordering cause. To accept the concept of irreducible complexity is to completely destabilize the arrogance of modern man, forcing him to humble himself before the infinite wisdom and perfect reason that sustains the biological universe. This work not only destroys the monopoly of materialist reductionism, but also provides us with infallible logical tools to combat the assault of the culture of death, returning to cellular life its sacred and astonishing original dignity, which the Creator masterfully captured from the most invisible confines of matter.
